Data handling

Keep the input public and non-sensitive.

Current service boundary · September 23, 2026

Simple rule: if the information should not be publicly available, do not send it to the current CaptureBrief workflow.

Appropriate inputs

  • Public SAM.gov notices, links, attachments, and amendments
  • Public agency, contract-vehicle, NAICS, PSC, and market information
  • Publicly releasable company website and capability information
  • Your current GO, HOLD, PASS, or UNSURE posture
  • Up to five non-sensitive assumptions behind that posture
  • Publicly releasable questions about dates, eligibility, blockers, source state, or requirements

Do not send

  • Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), classified information, or export-controlled information
  • Credentials, passwords, secrets, access tokens, or private links
  • Proprietary customer or client information
  • Nonpublic proposal drafts, pricing, staffing, capture strategy, or protected source-selection information
  • Material copied or downloaded from eBuy, SEWP QRT, another contract-holder portal, a private acquisition system, or another restricted source

Restricted-source boundary

CaptureBrief is currently a public-source service. If the controlling task-order package or another decision-critical record is available only through a restricted portal, the review will label the affected issue source-limited or decline the request. Do not paste restricted content into the request builder or an email.

How the request builder works

The fields on the homepage are processed locally in your browser to create a draft. They are not posted to a CaptureBrief server, saved to browser storage, or sent automatically. Selecting “Open email draft” asks your device to open its email application. Selecting “Copy request” places the prepared text on your clipboard. You remain responsible for reviewing the message before sending it.

How evidence is treated

CaptureBrief keeps current/controlling sources separate from supporting signals, preserves relevant source versions, and identifies exact public passages for decision-relevant findings. Supporting material does not replace an official solicitation, amendment, or direct confirmation of a company-specific fact.

Human review and unknown facts

Automation may support collection and comparison, but the customer handoff is reviewed by the founder/operator. When public evidence does not establish a fact—such as a company credential—the intended result is an evidence request or a source-limited finding, not a guessed answer.

Service providers and access

Cloudflare Pages hosts the public site. RETALLY’s email service provider processes direct email correspondence. Stripe processes direct or post-scope payment. Access to inquiry and engagement information is limited to the founder/operator and service providers needed to communicate, process payment, and deliver the agreed work.

Retention and deletion

Inquiry emails, agreed scope records, delivery records, and ordinary business records may be retained as reasonably needed to respond, deliver the service, document corrections, and meet accounting, security, or legal obligations. Requests concerning personal information you directly provided may be sent to JP Enterprises by email.

Before work begins

You may buy directly or request a free scope check first. Source coverage, questions, delivery date, and deliverable expectations are confirmed in writing before work begins. If a paid request requires sensitive or restricted information or is otherwise out of scope, it is declined and refunded in full before work begins.
